Day 1: Arrive in Bangkok
Welcome to the glistening city of Bangkok! Upon your arrival at Suvarnabhumi Airport, our company representative will be waiting to transfer you to your hotel.
Bangkok is known for its street food, shopping, and friendly residents. The city is considered the epicenter of culture and commerce in Thailand, blending an abundance of history within a bustling cosmopolitan city. Once you’ve checked in at your hotel, the rest of the day is at your leisure.
You can freshen up and unwind, but with no shortage of things to see and do Bangkok, you may want to start exploring the city right away! You can take the Sky Train tour for a birds-eye view of the city, or indulge in high-end fashion shopping at Siam Paragon. Take a leisurely walk through Lumpini Park and see locals as they practice Tai Chi and families at play. If your appetite beckons, explore Bangkok’s vibrant Chinatown for a delicious meal.
Day 2: Visit BangkokÔÇÖs Museums, Markets and Entertainment Centers
Enjoy a scrumptious breakfast and then get ready for a full-day city tour. The tour commences with a trip to the Museum of Floral Culture. The museum was established by the internationally acclaimed Thai floral artist Sakul Intakul. It is a tribute to Thai arts and culture with a special emphasis on floral traditions.
Flowers hold great significance in Thai rituals and ceremonies, and you’ll often see special arrangements at temples and spirit houses. The museum itself, a 100-year-old mansion is situated in a peaceful area, is a work of art, boasting lovely teak architecture and a serene Zen-style garden. Completed your Museum tour with a stop at the attached tea shop, where you can enjoy tea and delightful sweets.
Following your museum excursion, you’ll head to the renowned Chatuchak Weekend Market, the largest marketplace in Thailand. Here, you can shop to your heart’s content, find unique gifts and souvenirs, and try some delicious local fare at one of the many food stalls.
Once you have had your fill of all the market has to offer, your driver will return you to your hotel some relaxation and rejuvenation. In the evening, you will be taken to the enchanting Siam Niramit Show, a mesmerizing blend of music and dance that celebrates the history and culture of Thailand.
Day 3: Explorer Ayutthaya’s Glorious Ruins and Bang Pa-In Summer Palace
Start your day with a healthy breakfast. On this day of your 5 days Thailand Holiday, you will start with a visit to the Summer Palace, commonly known as Bang Pa-In.
Marvel at this imposing architectural blend of east and west that dates to the 17th century, as well as the glorious ruins of Ayutthaya, which harkens back to the early splendor of the city. You will have the opportunity to walk the grounds of this UNESCO World Heritage Site, including Wat Yai Chai MongkhonÔÇöwhere you can see a huge statue of a reclining Buddha built of brick and stucco.
After a good lunch at a local restaurant, the excursion proceeds with a trip to Wat Mahathat, renowned for a Buddha sculpture that is embedded in a tree trunk and surrounded by growing roots.
You will also see the bronze Buddha of Wat Phra Mongkhon Bophit, a thrilling example of the significance of Thai spirituality, before exploring the Royal Monastery of Wat Phra Si Samphet, known for its three iconic chedis (shrines). Day 4: Grand Palace, Khlongs & Jim Thompson House Museum
The four day of the 5 days Thailand Holiday begins with the temple tour of Wat Pho temple, which dates back to the 17th century. Experience the monk’s early morning chanting ritual and see the famous 147-foot (45 meters) Reclining Buddha.
Proceed to the Grand Palace, a striking complex that was set in 1782 by Thailand’s King Rama I. Enjoy a guided tour of his vast collection of fascinating artifacts, not only from Thailand but also from Myanmar, Laos, and Cambodia, as well as the house itself, which was formed by a number of antique edifices from the countryside.
