Day 1: Arrive in Mauritius.

Upon landing at Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport, our company representative will be there to greet and take you a 70km (1.5 hour) transfer to your booked hotel.  After checking in, settle in your room and rest for the rest of the day.  Overnight in Grand Baie or similar.

Day 2: Visit Trou-Aux-cerfs, Ganga Talao, Black River Gorges National Park and Chamarel

At around 8 am, after good breakfast at the hotel, you will depart for a whole day tour.

Enter your private car and embark on a 1┬¢ hour drive to Trou-Aux-Cerfs, a dormant volcanic crater with its 360┬░ panoramic view, a great spot for photos. From here, also tour Voiliers de lÔÇÖOcean and watch local craftsmen as they make painstaking replicas of authentic 18th Century sailing ships.

After that, hope into the vehicle and take a scenic drive through forest of the islandÔÇÖs interior to ÔÇÿGanga TalaoÔÇÖ, a sacred lake to Mauritian Hindus in Plaine Champagne.

Further down the zigzagging road of the Black River Gorges National Park, you’ll arrive at local restaurant with a awesome view over the coastline, where you’ll enjoy your lunch at around midday.

Continuing your exploration, you will drive through sugar cane and Pineapple fields on your way to Chamarel. Here you’ll be mesmerized by the areaÔÇÖs magnificent waterfall and unique 7 coloured Earth, which are evidence of Geological phenomenon.

On the return journey to thee hotel, the impressive view will be dominated by the iconic Le Morne Mountain and Ile aux Benitiers. You’ll arrive at around 05:00 pm to relax.

Day 3: Enjoy a full day of freedom

Today, enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the hotel. This is day is at your own leisure. You can relax by the pool. You can dive into amazing crystal-clear waters of the Indian Ocean. Free water and land sports activities are available at the hotel to make this experience unforgettable. If you are adventurous, you can go water skiing, scuba diving, snorkeling or take a banana ride.

Alternatively, you can book an optional full day Catamaran cruise. On this wonderful holiday experience, you will be picked up from the hotel at around 08:15 am.

At about 09:30, you’ll be boarding the catamaran and sail along the attractive east coast of Mauritius. Discover the wonders of this picturesque side of the island, its long-sheltered lagoon, the blue and green shades of the crystal-clear water and the breath-taking coastal scenery, set against a backdrop of mountains. Here you’ll have free time to snorkel, dive, or swim.

You will enjoy your lunch onboard followed by a stop at ├Äle aux Cerfs. Settle down and enjoy the sun and breeze on your face as you cruise past places that made history in Mauritius, from the arrival point of the early Dutch settlers to the naval battle between the French and the English navy that determined the islandÔÇÖs fate. You’ll return to hotel at around 05:00 pm.

Day 4: Spend a full day at your own leisure.

Have delicious breakfast at the hotel and enjoy another day in this wonderful island at your own leisure.

You can opt to book a full day tour to the north of Mauritius. Be picked up from the hotel at about 8.30 am and drive Cap-Malheureux, a small village in the islandÔÇÖs far north. This village is dominated by an attractive red-roofed Church and offers a splendid view over GunnerÔÇÖs Quoin and the northern islands.

Drive through the Grand Bay leads and visit Pamplemousses Botanical Gardens, a haven for some 500 exotic plants with giant water lilies, the Talipot Palm, flowering once every 60 years and various species.

Enjoy a traditional lunch at lÔÇÖAventure du Sucre, located on an authentic Sugar Factory which explores the history of sugarcane on the island. The excursion continues to the Blue Penny Museum, which showcases the popular Post Office stamps of 1847.

Visit Port-Louis market and have an insight into the colourful cross-section of Mauritian life and have some free time to shop. You will return to the hotel at 5:30 pm for relaxation.

Day 5: Another day at leisure

Your day five of the 6 days holiday in Mauritius with also be spent at leisure. If you want, you can choose to go for another full day excursion around the area. You’ll be picked up from the hotel at around 08:00 am. Enjoy a taste of Mauritian Heritage with a visit at Les Aubineaux, a colonial mansion built in 1872.

Drive along tea fields to Bois Cheri Tea Factory to discover the secrets of tea before continuing to the chalet for a traditional tea break. You’ll enjoy your lunch at the Plantation house of Saint Aubin, dated 1819. Tour an anthurium greenhouse with Mauritian vanilla growing among the distinctive blooms. The Domaine has its own rum distillery, so rum and sugar tasting is a must.

It is then on to discover the exotic La Vanille Reserve des Mascareignes where geckos, monkeys, Nile crocodiles, giant Aldabra tortoises and an insectarium are found amidst luxuriant tropical vegetation. You’ll return to the hotel at around 5:45 pm to relax and unwind.

Day 6: Departure Mauritius

After one last breakfast at your hotel, bid farewell to Mauritius and hop onto a comfortable road transfer to the Airport for your flight to your following destination. Safe Travels.
